Just wanted everyone up there at Harvest House who has helped me along the way to know that the daybed arrived early this morning and looks every bit as wonderful as I knew it would.  We had a few tense minutes when the 3 moving guys couldn't get it around the corner of the staircase and ultimately had to remove one of the arms, but all turned out ok in the end.  It makes a fabulous addition to my husband's home office and he is looking forward to taking many happy naps on it.

This is the second piece of furniture I have bought from you and I just have to say that it has always been a real pleasure dealing with everyone and your pieces are remarkable.  If I am ever in the Toronto area, I will definitely stop by.

The desk arrived last night, and is just beautiful. I have just finished installing my computer on top, and it is perfect for what I require.  Thank you very much for all of your excellent work, and the excellent work of the artisans at Harvest House.  We will always think of your operation in any future furniture needs. 

If I didn't mention it initially, the two delivery men who brought the desk to our condo, also did an excellent job.  They must have anticipated our wanting to put felt pads on the legs in order to avoid scratching our newly installed hardwood flooring.  They had the felt pads installed prior to bringing the desk into our suite, which was fantastic as it saved me having to put them on!  The entire purchasing experience from start to finish was excellent, and I highly recommend anyone purchasing hand made furniture, to purchase from Harvest House.  Our Harvest House furniture pieces, which we have purchased over the years, still look as good as the day we bought it.  Thanks again for everything.

I took delivery of my Madison table close to the last week in February and, as Malcolm had predicted, I am absolutely delighted with my purchase. I had been looking for a simple, beautiful, well-made table for some time and was very impressed with the one in your King Street showroom.  When your men delivered it, it was even better than I remembered.  The finish, workmanship and colour were perfect.  The Schomberg men were very professional and had the legs on and the table set up in minutes.


The table top invites stroking daily!  I was impressed too by the underside.  I have had four dinner parties since it arrived (using placemats rather than a table cloth which would have hidden the lovely grain and finish).  My guests have all been very admiring of the quality and I think one of them will be paying HarvestHouse a visit.

Hello all;

We purchased a Parsons Table a year ago and recently discovered a water mark on it. We were heart broken and were afraid the entire top would have to be refinished.

The table was picked up and returned in 10days looking as good as new and as far as I know, no refinishing was required! You must have magicians in the wood shop.

The service was friendly and professional during the entire process! Something that just doesn't happen very often these days. This is a table we want to keep for a life time and after this experience I'm looking forward to many more meals shared at it.

We are writing to express our thanks and utmost delight with our most recent experience with you and your staff.

We have experienced nothing short of excellent customer service from you whenever we have visited your showroom and when we have spoken to your staff both at the King Street and Schomberg locations.

Most recently, we moved to our "new" home (built about 100 years ago) and discovered, to our dismay, that one of the pieces, our Harbourfront Armoire, would not make it up the turn in the stairs and into our bedroom. Although we made the original purchase almost three (3) years ago, you happily sat down with us to discuss our dilemna and you immediately suggested three possible resolutions.

The first recommendation was to send Chris to our house to see if he could find a way to fit the piece up the stairs. As predicted, Chris and Richard, who are nothing short of magicians, were able to fit the massive armoire up the stairs (we understand with 2mm on each side of the wall and centimeters to the ceiling) and into our bedroom. They were extremely careful and patient, easing the top of the armoire up the narrow staircase and around the turn with the expertise and level of attention usually reserved for the most fragile and precious of objects. The piece and our century old plaster walls remain intact. We are ecstatic that the piece is now in our bedroom. Please convey our thanks to them again.

Obviously, we did not have to explore the other options. When we tell our friends and family about the move they are shocked and awed at the level of customer service provided to us. Our experience has confirmed, again, that when we add to our collection of furniture we will not hesitate to go to Harvest House.

Harvest House Rocks!

All I wanted was a new dining room table. I looked around and saw nothing remotely close to the image I envisioned. Not even from the best of the best retailers. I supplemented my search with the internet. I found Harvest House through the internet. I liked the site and found it extremely well set up, user friendly, complete and easy to navigate. I especially liked the room planner function. The close up functionality allowed me to immediately recognize the quality and design that I had been looking for. Kudos to Mike for that.

Like so many people today, I have no significant amount of time to invest nor did I have any means to convey existing furniture to Harvest House for the stain matching process. Harvest House had me from the moment that Mo promised to come to my house with stain samples to complete my order. I was duly impressed with my experience thus far.

I selected all my Harvest House furniture from the internet except for the dining room chairs. You have to experience the comfort of the available styles to make that choice. Although, I made most of my decisions without seeing the actual model, I would encourage everyone to view your furniture live. They are gorgeous. Your King Street location is fabulous and offers a great representation of your lines of furniture. Yes I said All my purchases. I was so thrilled with my dining room table that it blossomed into redoing my dining room, living room and the bathroom. I also have ideas for my office for another time. I know with confidence that I will be able to make future purchases that will match with purchases that I made today.

I think I have experienced everything with Harvest House from your standard offerings to modifications of your pieces to custom work. It is a pleasure to deal with an honest "Family Owned" company. Your organization is equal to none. Your dedication and commitment to the customer clearly shines through and the personal service is refreshing. People skills are superior from every level within your company. Your mission statement and purpose say it all. Quality product with excellent service executed from the order process to delivery and I might add that the price is reasonable and appropriate to the craftsmanship. The drawers are dove-tailed! That is attention to detail. I have and will continue to recommend your company.

At delivery, I observed the great care that the delivery people took. The fact that they kicked their shoes off before entering my home was really important to me. They also kept me entertained with their humor. They were absolute sweethearts.

The true measure of an organization is after care. On delivery of the console table I noticed that one of the drawers opened more easily than normal but assumed it would settle in. Later the table top developed a tiny stain (about the size of the end of a q-tip), the source unknown. Regardless, I did not want these issues to remain. They were so trivial that I hesitated to even mention it. However, this was not a trivial matter to Harvest House and arrangements were made immediately to correct the problem.

Being in the logistics business, I am always concerned about damage from multiple handling and transport. I am beyond impressed. The console table came back having been gone less than a week without a mark. It looks the same as when it was first delivered. The spot is gone. The drawer is fixed. I actually think they fixed both drawers to ensure they functioned equally. It is perfect. I think I have met every delivery person you have. They are all professional. They always arrive when they say they will. The delivery man even had the little cushions for the feet to even up that uneven floor that was contributing to the problem.

You are all very true to your word in what you tell your customers. I nominate your company for Service Excellence of the year!

We are glad that you like the photos of the place. We love our vacation home, not only because of the beautiful location on the side of the ski hill and the fabulous views but also because it is so comfortable and cozy looking with your furniture. We are more than happy with everything that we bought. I love the authentic bookcase which I have in the hallway near the kitchen, and my husband loves his stereo cabinet which is beside the fireplace in the living room. Everyone loves the furniture. I have had many people ask about the Morris Chair and have given many people the name and location of your company. My parents love the leather sofa so much, that they are now buying a leather sofa and loveseat for their house. They live in Whistler year round, and as much as they would have liked to have purchased from you, I believe they bought from a store in Vancouver as it is less of a problem getting it delivered to them. We would not hesitate to recommend your furniture and service to anyone we know.

Initially we dealt with Barbara Armstrong in the Richmond Hill store. She was fantastic with all her assistance. She suggested that we measure every room and then decided on the furniture by ensuring it would all fit. We measured the rooms the next time we were in Whistler, and I drew them to scale. We then went over everything that we wanted and I drew them to scale also. I made sure that everything would fit, and even though we moved furniture around when it arrived out west, we ended up putting it exactly as originally planned.

Jeff was shocked when he saw all my rooms drawn up with little furniture place on the paper. We did have one problem with the TV corner cabinet that my husband wanted so badly, but that was the one thing I did miscalculate, it was too large for the corners as the fireplace came out further than I had thought and did not have 42" to either corner. So, unfortunately, we had to change that to the TV stand. Jeff was very helpful and understanding with the problem and we had no problems in changing our order even though the corner cabinet was partially built. If you could please pass on to Mike and Peter Coulter our thanks to everyone in the stores but especially the help we received from Barbara, Jeff and yourself, we would greatly appreciate it. It seems everyone is eager to write letters when they need to complain but we never seem to take the time to write and commend people for all their time and help in making our purchases and transportation of it go so smoothly. Once again, thanks to everyone for all their help, and if ever any of you are in Whistler, please let us know in advance as we would love to show you our place and furniture in person.
